We’re delighted to announce that On The Up has secured two years of funding to launch a new employability, skills and wellbeing programme for unemployed women in Kenton and surrounding areas, starting in Autumn 2026.

The programme will provide a welcoming and supportive space where women can build confidence, improve their wellbeing and develop the skills they need to move towards employment, education, volunteering or self-employment. Through practical workshops, peer support, enterprise activities and personal development sessions, participants will gain the confidence, knowledge and connections to take positive steps towards their future goals.

This exciting new programme has been made possible thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.

A heartfelt thank you to National Lottery players, whose support makes projects like this possible. Every ticket played helps fund community initiatives across the UK, helping organisations like On The Up create opportunities that transform lives and strengthen local communities.

We can’t wait to welcome our first group of women this autumn and begin supporting them on their journey towards greater confidence, wellbeing and employment.
