We believe all women should be the best version of themselves.
That’s why we work in places like Kenton and Benwell to empower women to transform their lives and the lives of their families.
In Kenton, we host a lively weekly women’s gathering known as the Crafty Queens, creating everything from clay ornaments to witty greeting cards. Known as ‘enterprise in disguise,’ we focus on instilling confidence and guiding them toward their entrepreneurial aspirations.
Group members even generate funds. New ventures, like a mam’s podcast, further enriches their collective journey of growth and peer to peer support.
In Benwell we support the Crafty Lasses every Tuesday. Teaching transferable skills, helping with CVs/employability and running community events with the Pendower Good Neighbour Project. We have collaborated with One Strawberry Lane (Home Group and BAM Construction) to build a legacy project called the Sunnybank Secret Garden (a safe place for families and elders to enjoy activities and a slice of pizza).
Hear how we helped one woman we support turn her life around.

Ducks in a Row
‘Ducks in a Row’ is a vital service that we run to help women who have been affected by domestic violence in Newcastle.
We help address many of the challenges they face in order to take the next steps. From accessing essentials such as food and fuel to navigating benefit eligibility, making new friends and securing suitable and meaningful employment (even starting their own business).
It helps transform women’s lives from merely surviving to actually thriving. For them and their families.
With thanks to the generous support of the National Lottery.
