Are you a young woman aged 18–25 looking to meet new people, learn new skills and boost your confidence? On the Up’s NextGen Women’s Group is a friendly, welcoming space where you can connect with others, take part in fun and creative activities, and be part of a supportive community.
The group meets every Tuesday in Benwell and is completely free to attend. Whether you’re looking to make friends, build your confidence or simply get out of the house for a couple of hours, we’d love to welcome you.

Build Your Skills with On the Up’s Ducks in a Row Programme
Starting September 2026, On the Up’s Ducks in a Row programme is designed to help women aged 18+ gain the confidence, practical skills and support they need to take positive steps towards volunteering, training or employment.
Based at Gosforth Library (near Regent Centre), the programme offers a welcoming and supportive environment where you’ll develop employability and life skills, build your confidence, meet new people and work towards your own goals at your own pace. Whether you’re looking to return to work, explore new opportunities or simply invest in yourself, Ducks in a Row is here to help you move forward.
