On the Up’s Crafty Queens have been busy spreading festive cheer, having spent months crafting Christmas decorations and handmade gifts since July. Their hard work paid off as the group proudly popped up at several Christmas markets, including Blackfriars Market, Kenton School Christmas Fair, and events hosted by our trusted partners at Home Group and One Strawberry Lane.
These festive pop-ups helped raise vital funds for the Crafty Queens group, which has recently relocated to Fawdon, supporting its continued growth and sustainability.
This project was made possible thanks to the generous support of Small Sparks, alongside National Lottery Awards for All and Ward funding in Kenton. Their backing has enabled women to come together regularly, build skills, confidence and friendships, and turn creativity into opportunity.
The success of the Christmas markets is a powerful reminder that when women come together, they can achieve amazing things and support one another every step of the way.
